Acquisition of 14% stake in Kabra / India´s largest manufacturer of extrusion systems
Battenfeld Extrusiontechnik (Bad Oeynhausen / Germany; www.battenfeld.de) and its sister company, American Maplan (AMC, McPherson, Kansas / USA), have taken a 14% stake in India´s Kabra Extrusiontechnik (Mumbai; www.kolsite.com). The deal will involve transfer of technology for advanced plastics extrusion as well as process support to the Indian machinery manufacturer from the two companies, both owned by SMS Plastics Technology (Düsseldorf / Germany; www.sms-k.com). Kabra is a subsidiary of the Kolsite group (www.kolsite.com), the largest extrusion machinery systems on the Indian subcontinent. It has a long-standing licence agreement with Battenfeld for the manufacture of single- and twin-screw extrusion machinery in India.
