A recently-held open house at the Haiphong / Vietnam facilities of pipe producer Tien Phong Plastic (Haiphong City / Vietnam www.nhuatienphong.vn) attracted over 450 international visitors to see a demonstration of the “KryoSys” pipe line for large diameter PO pipe extrusion from battenfeld-cincinnati (Bad Oeynhausen / Germany; www.battenfeld-cincinnati.de).

The programme began with the demonstration of the energy-efficient battenfeld-cincinnati 1,200 mm “GreenPipe” extrusion line with a maximum output of 1,400 kg/h, producing pipes for water and sewage applications with a wall thickness of 57.2 mm. This was followed by technical presentations from Tien Phong Plastic, its partners battenfeld-cincinnati and Borouge (Abu Dhabi / UAE; www.borouge.com) and Mitsubishi. The demonstrated extrusion line consisted of the “monos+ 90-37D” single screw extruder with energy-efficient AC motor, the “KryoS 63-1200” pipe head, a CE 30 co-extruder for colour stripes and downstream equipment for pipe sizes up to 1,200 mm.

Tien Phong Plastic is a leading state-owned producer of pipes and fittings made from uPVC, HDPE and PP-R, manufactured to international standards in Vietnam. In recent years, it has purchased several extrusion systems from battenfeld-cincinnati.
