On 1 March 2022, Saori Dubourg is to take over the responsibility for Monomers, Performance Materials (engineering polymers), Petrochemicals, and Intermediates divisions at Germany’s BASF (Ludwigshafen; www.basf.com). She will also remain responsible for the Europe region.
Dubourg has so far headed the Agricultural Solutions, Care Chemicals, and Nutrition & Health units, for which the former Petrochemicals boss, Michael Heinz, will be responsible in the future.
This is the third change atop the petrochemicals and plastics operations in the past three years: Sanjeev Gandhi held the post until 2019, and his successor Wayne T. Smith left on 31 May 2021.
