Changes at the top in Performance Materials / Raimar Jahn retiring

Raimar Jahn, president of the then newly-created Performance Materials division at BASF (Ludwigshaften / Germany; www.basf.com) since 2013, will retire at the end of August 2019. The 61-year-old long-time BASF executive will be succeeded by Martin Jung, 50, currently senior vice president of Surface Treatment at subsidiary Chemetall (Frankfurt / Germany; www.chemetall.com).
Jung will join Performance Materials on 1 August 2019 and will take over the division’s leadership on 1 September 2019. Christophe Cazabeau, 49, currently vice presidentof Senior Project Integration Engineering Plastics at BASF Polyurethanes in Lemförde / Germany, will succeed Jung on 1 August 2019. Performance Materials, which focuses on the automotive industry, incorporates engineering plastics and polyurethanes, along with other businesses.
