Sulfone polymers expansion in South Korea up and running
As planned, BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has started up its expanded production of "Ultrason" polyarylsulfones in Yeosu / South Korea – see Plasteurope.com of 13.09.2016. The additional 6,000 t/y capacity will shorten delivery times, especially for customers in Asia. Along with its plant in Ludwigshafen, BASF now has a global capacity of 24,000 t/y for polyethersulfone (PES), polysulfone (PSU) and polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) grades.
