“Ultramid Endure D3G10” shown at Fakuma
At the recent “Fakuma 2011” (www.fakuma-messe.de) trade fair for plastics processing held 18-22 October in Friedrichshafen / Germany, BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) exhibited “Ultramid Endure D3G10”, a new addition to its line of polyamides in automotive under-the-bonnet applications marketed under the Endure trademark. The new 50% glass fibre-reinforced product is said to combine excellent heat aging resistance (up to 220°C) with the good processing properties of PA. In particular, the group said D3G10 offers significantly improved stiffness compared with its predecessor “D3G7”, which has 35% glass fibre.
