Polyurethane business rebranded / Solutions added to name / Elastogran with new logo
BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has rebranded its Polyurethanes business as Polyurethane Solutions. The group said the name change makes visible the business’s positioning within its global “Verbund” integrated production network – which includes 35 PU systems houses – and at the same time harmonises branding throughout Europe. The change will also link Elastogran (Lemförde / Germany; www.elastogran.de) and its PU production with the BASF name.

All of Elastogran’s production sites will now display the PU Solutions logo as well as the BASF logo. The Lemförde company’s name will continue to be used, both as part of the logo and in the marketing of products, a spokesman told PIE. Jacques Delmoitiez, head of the BASF Polyurethanes division, said the new name stands for customer focus, innovation, flexibility, consulting and problem solving expertise, as well as product quality.
