Gary Phillips appointed to newly created CCO position / Latest step in company-wide restructuring
As it proceeds with its restructuring efforts, which call – among others – for a strengthening of its sales force (see Plasteurope.com of 23.11.2016), US compounder A. Schulman (Akron, Ohio; www.aschulman.com) has appointed Gary Phillips to the newly created role of chief commercial officer. His job will consist of “driving profitable revenue growth on a global basis,” focusing initially on better alignment and accountability in the group’s global sales and marketing teams, while also helping its new customer-centric product innovation initiative.

Phillips’ career included several management positions within the communications segment, and he also worked as an independent consultant specialised on sales team optimisation and leadership development.
