Shared Service Centre to move from Belgium to Poland / Part of "ongoing cost control initiatives"
US plastics compounder and distributor A. Schulman (Akron, Ohio; www.aschulman.com) is relocating its Europe, Middle East and Africa Shared Service Centre from Londerzeel / Belgium to Poznan / Poland. The EUR 7m move is to be completed by May next year, and expected to generate annual savings of about EUR 5m by fiscal 2017, the company said.
Heinrich Lingnau, vice president and general manager of the company’s EMEA region, said the move is in line with A. Schulman’s “ongoing cost control initiatives” as well as its goal to proactively manage its business better by balancing market trends and macroeconomic conditions.
