Distribution partnership for the EMEA region with Solvay Specialty Polymers / Expanded cooperation
With the signing of a distribution partnership contract, US compounder and distributor A. Schulman (Akron, Ohio; www.aschulman.com) has agreed to expand its sales activities with Solvay Specialty Polymers (Alpharetta, Georgia / USA; www.solvayspecialtypolymers.com) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The relationship between the two companies goes back to the year 1994, when A. Schulman started distributing the "IXEF" product line (polyarylamide) made by Solvay. In 2009, A. Schulman also began marketing the fluoropolymers "Solef" (PVDF), "Halar" (ECTFE) and "Hyflon" (PFA, MFA). Building on the cooperation with Solvay, A. Schulman distributes its "Schulatec" PEEK range of high-performance polymers since 1 July 2012 across Europe.
Customers will benefit from the expanded partnership through shorter delivery times, more local assistance and a technical customer service provided by A. Schulman, the company stated.
