Azerbaijan's Azenco, which purports to be the country’s leading construction group, has selected KraussMaffei Berstoff (Munich / Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com) as its supplier of high-tech plastics processing machines. A recent order included several “32D” twin-screw extruders for window profile extrusion as well as rubber profile extrusion machines for window and pipe seals. Azenco also ordered a double-band system for producing sandwich panels, which – when insulated with polyurethane or mineral wool – are used in industrial building construction.

"Since our orders are normally financed through government infrastructure programs, we attach great importance to a reliable partner whose binding promises are kept,” said Sahib Musaev, general director of Azenco subsidiary STP AZ (Sumqayit; www.stp.az), which will commission the new machines. Reportedly the Caucasus’ largest processing company, STP’s portfolio not only includes a wide range of plastic products, but also cable production, systems for technical gases, solar collectors and electroplating systems, among others.

Since 2010, KraussMaffei Berstoff has supplied a total of 17 pipe extrusion lines for PE, PP-R, PP and PVC pipes with a diameter of 20-630mm as well as several corrugated pipe extruders to Azenco. To date, 16 out of the 17 lines are already in operation. Azenco’s sales activities are currently focused on the Caucasian region.
