Appointment to distribute nanomaterials from Graphitene International / Additives can improve mechanical properties of plastics
Nanomaterials specialist Graphitene International (Stevenage / UK; www.graphitene.com) has appointed speciality chemicals distributor Azelis (Antwerp / Belgium; www.azelis.com) to promote its “Graphitene” range in the rubber and plastic additives, elastomers, sealants, adhesives and coatings markets in Italy.

The “Graphitene” family includes a variety of graphene-based materials, such as graphene, graphene oxide, doped graphene and functionalised graphene. They are available in the form of dispersions, powders, foils and films. Graphene-based admixtures are also available, in addition to expanded graphite and ultra-pure graphite powders.

Marco Gerosa, managing director of Azelis Italy, said: “Graphene nanotechnology is the new frontier for future industrial applications. (...) Some of our customers have already shown interest in this new technology for different applications – we can now offer a solution that is developed directly with them, for example to increase the mechanical characteristic of plastic materials.”
