At the beginning of 2011, European specialty chemicals distributor Azelis (Antwerp / Belgium; www.azelis.com) united its 36 group companies under one unified brand name. Following 10 years of add-on acquisitions, the distributor said the time is now right to leverage the strength of the group as a whole.

Azelis said the launch of the new corporate brand identity follows “detailed consultation” with employees, principals and customers. The consensus was that “becoming one company with a single identity and shared brand promise is an essential element for future growth and success,” said CEO Joris Coppye. Visual changes in the distributor’s logo will be displayed on a new website. There will also be new brochures, signage and stationery.

The group’s distribution area includes all of Europe, in addition to Mumbai / India and Shanghai / China. Azelis also claims to have sourcing and distribution channels in every major world market. In addition to plastics and rubber, it specialises in animal nutrition, chemicals, coatings, composites, food & health, materials, pigments and additives, personal care and pharmaceuticals.
