France’s Axium Packaging (Andrezieux-Boutheon; www.groupe-axium.fr) says it has relocated its headquarters to Saint-Etienne from Andrezieux-Boutheon, a move announced last year (see Plasteurope.com of 01.07.2021).
The company said it has also consolidated its subsidiaries Acti Pack and Loire Plastic Industrie at the site, as planned. It noted that investment in the new facilities was EUR 16 mn, and 175 people work at the new complex.
The Lorie Plastic Industrie production hall covers 4,000 m² and features 25 injection moulding units and associated operations, according to Axium, which noted that the subsidiary produces plastic boxes and closures.
The Acti Pack manufacturing area measures 5,500 m² and houses 25 injection-stretch blow moulding machines and an automatic packaging line. The unit makes PET and rPET bottles and jars.
The two subsidiaries expect a more than 15% increase in production capacity following the move, their parent reported.
Axium Packaging, which manufactures jars, bottles, and closures from PET, recycled and bio-sourced PET and polypropylene, and PCR PP for personal care and food markets, said it employs some 380 people at five European plants. Group turnover reached EUR 62.8 mn in 2021, the company added.
