Timothy Mann confirmed as CEO and president
After having served as interim CEO since the sudden retirement of Paul Carrico in July this year (see Plasteurope.com of 23.07.2015), the board of chlorovinyls producer Axiall (Atlanta, Georgia / USA; www.axiall.com) in November appointed Timothy Mann as new president and CEO. He will also join the company board.
Axiall recently sold its aromatics business to Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 06.10.2015. Upon his appointment, Mann said, “We are strengthening the company’s competitive position through improved operational reliability and a focus on cost competitiveness. Further, we continue to evaluate the alternatives for the entire portfolio of businesses and assets.”
Axiall’s Q3 net sales came in at USD 874m, down from USD 1 bn in the comparative quarter of 2014. The company also posted a net loss of about USD 770m in Q3 this year.
