US-based packaging products company Avery Dennison (Pasadena, California; www.averydennison.com) has promoted Noel Kasmi to senior director, sales for Label and Packaging Materials Europe. Kasmi was earlier the sales director for the Southern European region. He takes over command from Gernot Ritzdorf, who has taken up a new assignment at Avery Dennison.

Since his appointment as an engineer in 1995, Kasmi has held a number of technical, operational and sales positions in the company. In his new role, Kasmi's key priorities will include finding ways for Avery Dennison to support customers in growing their businesses, intensifying customer responsiveness, further developing the company's service proposition and ensuring the integration of the customer perspective into the development and commercialisation of new products and services, the company says.
