German transport packaging manufacturer Auer Packaging (Amerang; www.auer-packaging.com) has introduced a reusable solution for liquid goods, with its bag-in-box container made of HDPE available in 250, 500 and 600 litre sizes. Via a permanently mounted filling aid, the product is filled from above into the LDPE bag inside, which can be replaced after each use. The stackable, reusable container with a protective hinged lid is available either with adjustable feet or skids.

The manufacturer sees the reusable transport container as a supplement to conventional plastic intermediate bulk containers (IBC) and as an alternative to steel drums. Possible application industries include chemical, food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical, it says.
