Atmosa declares force majeure for phthalic anhydride
Problems of a technical nature evidently paralysed production of phthalic anhydride at Atmosa (Schwechat / Austria; www.atmosa.at) on 16 January 2017 already. The company declared force majeure for this chemical, which is used among other things to produce resins for composites.

The news from Schwechat is that repair work is in full swing. When approached by Plasteurope.com, Atmosa did not specify the precise reason for the outage or the date on which production is to be resumed.
