World Plastics Council elects LyondellBasell's James Seward as chairman
Plastics producers organisation the World Plastics Council (WPC; www.worldplasticscouncil.com) has elected a new chairman. Following WPC's executive committee meeting in Dubai / UAE, Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh (Sabic) announced that James Seward (LyondellBasell) has been elected to succeed him as WPC chairman. Seward thanked Al-Fageeh for his commitment to the council and added that under his leadership "the WPC has grown in numbers, we have engaged with global stakeholders, and we have delivered results."
The council recently had two additions to its membership, with Americas Styrenics (AmSty, The Woodlands, Texas / USA) and BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) joining the organisation – see Plasteurope.com of 18.01.2018.
