At its recent annual general assembly meeting, members of the European Single ply Waterproofing Association ESWA (Brussels / Belgium; www.eswa.be) unanimously reelected Udo Wagner, technical director of Flachdach Technologie (Mannheim / Germany; www.fdt.de), as president. The two-year term of the association’s other executive committee members – which include Sika’s (Baar / Switzerland; www.sika.com) Koichi Oba, Renolit Waterproofing’s (Worms / Germany; www.renolit.com/waterproofing-roofing/oc) Christian Vergeylen and Soprema’s (Chignolo d’Isola / Italy; www.soprema.com) Bruno Broccanello – was also extended to 2017.

Upon his reelection, Wagner said the association will focus on its technical committee’s activities of tracking European standardisation processes in 2015, and will also further support its activities within VinylPlus (see Plasteurope.com of 14.05.2015) and the 2020 sustainability programme. ESWA’s main goal is to promote roofing and waterproofing membranes.

During its general assembly, ESWA also welcomed Danosa (Fontanar / Spain; www.danosa.com) as a new member. The Spanish company specialises in synthetic roofing sheets and systems, and has a sales network that spans France, Portugal, Morocco, Mexico and the UK.
