David Tyson awarded Honorary Lifetime membership of British PAFA

At its 37th annual general meeting, the Packaging and Films Association (PAFA, Nottingham / UK; www.pafa.org.uk) awarded David Tysonthe Honorary Lifetime Membership award. Tyson has retired after five years as PAFA’s chief executive and the award, made by chairman David Beeby, chief executive of Innovia Films (www.innoviafilms.com), paid tribute to his continuous commitment to the flexible packaging industry. “David has always been there for the industry with his unique blend of strategic wisdom and cheerful cooperation,” said Beeby. “He has been a constant force for our industry and it is a great honour on behalf of PAFA to thank him for his support by formally presenting him with this award.”
Tyson spent over 40 years working in the flexible films industry and he has been a long-serving member of PAFA’s management committee. His most recent position was European marketing director, frozen foods, for Amcor Flexibles (www.amcor.com).
