David Beeby appointed chairman of PAFA
David Beeby, the chief executive office of Innovia Films (Wigton, Cumbria / UK; www.innoviafilms.com), will become the new chairman of the Packaging and Films Association (PAFA, Nottingham / UK; www.pafa.org.uk), the trade association that represents the UK’s flexible packaging and plastic films industry.

A qualified chartered accountant, Beeby formerly served as president of Flexible Packaging Europe (Düsseldorf / Germany; www.flexpack-europe.com), where he was a stalwart promoter of innovative flexible packaging. He was also president of the Flexible Packaging Association (FPA), which merged with PAFA in 2007.

Welcoming Beeby to his new role, Barry Turner, PAFA’s chief executive designate, said, “David is bringing vast experience and knowledge at a time when our members are well placed to lead the economic recovery with high performance, low impact products which protect, preserve and promote.”
