The Performance Materials business of Ashland (Dublin, Ohio / USA; www.ashland.com) is widening its footprint in Scandinavia. Effective immediately, Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC, Hamburg / Germany; www.nrc.de) subsidiary Kemi-Intressen (Solna / Sweden; www.kemiintressen.com) will be marketing the US group’s unsaturated polyester resins, gel coats, epoxy vinyl ester resins and low-profile additives in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. Responsible for distributing the same portfolio – with the exception of epoxy vinyl ester resins – in Finland will be OY Kokko-Fiber(Kokkola / Finland; www.kokko-fiber.fi).

The announcements come shortly after Ashland said it plans to split into two independent publicly-traded companies to complete its transformation into a speciality chemicals company – for more details, see Plasteurope.com of 28.09.2015.
