Flexible foams producer starts up production in Bahrain

Insulation specialist Armacell’s (Luxembourg; www.armacell.com) new plant for engineered foams in Bahrain – see Plasteurope.com of 29.05.2017 – is now officially operational. The facility has about 100 employees and a capacity of 60,000 m³ of technical insulation foam.
The insulation materials are produced for the domestic market and mainly used for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Armacell president and CEO Patrick Mathieu said at the ribbon cutting ceremony that the new site is to be the company’s trading hub in the Gulf region.
Armacell has 25 facilities in 16 countries with about 3,000 employees. The company generated sales of EUR 603m in 2017.
