ARMACELL
Takeover of Italian soundproofing insulation manufacturer Guarto
Armacell (Luxembourg; www.armacell.com) is expanding its manufacturing footprint in southern Europe. The flexible insulation foams producer has announced its acquisition of Guarto (Caselle Torinese / Italy; www.guarto.it), a manufacturer of PU soundproofing solutions.
Guarto’s non-flammable sound insulation product portfolio includes panels, mouldable sheaths, layers, membranes as well as finishes and colours, such as HDPE film. Its soundproofing products are used in the automotive, naval, railway and building industries, as well as other industrial applications. Armacell’s VP Engineered Foams, Bart Janssen, says, “Acoustic solutions are a key pillar of our product portfolio and global megatrends such as acoustic comfort are driving the demand for customised insulation solutions.”
The purchase price of the transaction has been kept confidential. The buy includes two production lines in Guarto’s manufacturing facility near Turin / Italy. Armacell also has an Italian subsidiary, Armacell Italia, in Vimercate.
