Price increases for EPDM in Europe, Asia and Latin America
The significant rise in the cost of feedstocks such as styrene and butadiene (see Plasteurope.com of 30.01.2017) in recent weeks has had further consequences: On top of the previous increases for chloroprene rubber (CR) and adhesive raw materials (see Plasteurope.com of 24.01.2017), Arlanxeo (Maastricht / The Netherlands; www.arlanxeo.com) is now also hiking its prices for ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM).

The products marketed under the "Keltan" brand will be raised by up to EUR 125/t in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 1 February 2017. Two weeks later, this joint venture between Lanxess and Saudi Aramco will lift prices by USD 150/t in both Latin America and China.
