Hervé Castres Saint-Martin new vice president Raw Material and Energy Procurement
French speciality chemicals producer Arkema (Colombes; www.arkema.com) has appointed Hervé Castres Saint-Martin as vice president Raw Material and Energy Procurement. The 53-year-old, who has held management positions at Arkema and its predecessors Elf Atochem and Atofina since 1997, took up his new assignment on 1 September 2017.

The executive with an MBA and several petrochemicals-related degrees has worked in different capacities at the French company, beginning as Polystyrene product manager and later key account manager for this business. Other positions have included director of the European Solvents and Chlorinated Derivatives and Hydrogen Peroxide and Chlorates businesses, along with regional director for the acrylic monomers businesses in Europe and Asia.
