Celebrating what “a new milestone in its operations in China”, German plastics machinery maker Arburg (Loßburg; www.arburg.com) officially inaugurated its new machine warehouse in Shanghai on 22 November. The 1,500 m² facility in the Waigaoqiao free-trade zone features a selection of its hydraulic, hybrid and electric “Allrounders” as well as the company's "Multilift" robotic systems – all capable of being adjusted to customer demands.
The new facility means the company can now deliver products to Asian customers quicker, Benjamin Franz, business development manager Asia, said at the event. Since first setting foot in Asia 25 years ago, the German group has seen its footprint increase steadily, with 60 employees in the region today. Over the years, Arburg has seen an increase in the number of its machinery exports to China, especially for its Allrounder machinery featuring robotic systems as well as complete turnkey systems.
