With shovels in hand, members from injection moulding machinery specialist Arburg (Loßburg; www.arburg.com) participated in a ceremony to mark the start of construction of the company's "Arburg Technology Center" (ATC) in Warsaw, Poland. The new facility for the Polish subsidiary is scheduled to be finished in 2014 and will have 800 m² of usable area.
"This new building is an important milestone for the company's international presence and is also a reflection of how important the Polish market has been to us after 20 years of presence in the country," stated Stephan Doehler, European sales head for the company, during the festivities. The centrepiece of the new facility is a roughly 240 m² showroom, which will display seven "all rounder" machines.
