After a construction period that lasted 6 months, Arburg (Loßburg / Germany; www.arburg.com) on 24 June officially inaugurated its new Arburg Technology Centre in Budapest / Hungary. The 450 m2 building is the result of a project between Arburg and the Hungarian industrial development company WING (Budapest; www.wing.hu).
The following day the centre staged an open-house event which focused on the hybrid Hidrive high-performance series and also included specialist presentations on Arburg’s product range for the packaging sector, the economic benefits of inspection, new aspects of financing as well as current research into shrinkage and distortion.
One of the location’s big advantages, says Gabriella Hollik, manager of the Arburg Hungária subsidiary, is the demonstration room for three "Allrounder" injection moulding machines.
Arburg has been operating in Hungary for more than 20 years. The German group says this latest investment constitutes further proof of the continuous and strategic expansion of its sales and service network.
