Machine manufacturer narrowly misses sales forecast
German injection moulding machinery manufacturer Arburg (Loßburg; www.arburg.com) recorded a small decline in sales in 2005 to EUR 267.2m (EUR 276.3m in 2004). The group´s final figures will not become available until the annual meeting in May, and total sales have so far only been estimated. According to Helmut Heinson, managing director sales, the forecast of EUR 305m will be "narrowly missed" despite a 12% increase in the number of new customers. He expects sales to be 1-2% below the forecast figure, although the overall result is expected to be positive.
