Austrian engineering specialists commission BOPET line in China

Andritz (Graz / Austria; www.andritz.com), a supplier of plants, equipment and engineering services, has announced that commercial production has begun on a new 5.1m-wide BOPET line for the production of thin plastic films at Zhuoli Jiaozou Stamping, located in Jiaozuo, in northern China.
Andritz says it is the first company in China to specialise in the production of hot-stamping material and thermal transfer ribbons. The company is also said to be China's largest manufacturer of thermal transfer products. The new Andritz Biax line is claimed to have a line speed of up to 330 m/min.
