Last month, Italian extrusion specialist Amut (Novara / Italy; www.amut.it) showcased its latest extrusion technologies to a delegation of Chinese producers of waterproofing membranes. Amut, which already has a number of manufacturing facilities in China, gave a technical presentation, showcasing potential applications and wider opportunities in the market.

The event was put together by Dongqing Zhu and Anna Zhang, chief executive and international business department manager, respectively, of the China National Building Waterproof Association (Beijing / China; www.cnwb.net), as well as Frette Shen, Amut’s Chinese representative and Andrea Peretto, Amut’s sales manager in charge of Southeast Asian countries. Amut linked up with the "China National Building Waterproof Association at the China International Roofing and Waterproofing Expo", which is held annually in Shanghai.

At last year’s expo, Amut sealed a deal with a Chinese stock market-listed company, Jingmen Keshun New Materials (CKS, Foshan, Guangdong; www.keshun.com.cn), to supply it complete turn-key project in order to produce 8m m² of TPO membrane. The line was delivered to Jingmen Keshun’s production facility in Foshan city, in Gaoming.
