AMUT
Several new orders from "Chinaplas" and Asia trip / Sales totalling more than EUR 10m
Italian extrusion specialist Amut (Novara; www.amut.it) has won new sales worth more than EUR 10m after exhibiting at the “Chinaplas” (www.chinaplasonline.com) trade fair in May. “Chinaplas is the consolidation of our good reputation as manufacturer with 100% Italian technology and quality,” commented Amut Group’s president, Piergianni Milani. After attending Chinaplas in Guangzhou, Milani and his area sales manager, Andrea Peretto, travelled in China and visited Cambodia and Malaysia.
Milani added that the business wins were further evidence that the investments in its R&D department were on the right path in developing technology that was mainly devoted to production flexibility and high-speed performance. Amut’s latest thermoforming machines are in its ACF series, which was launched at the “K 2016” trade fair in Düsseldorf / Germany along with a new generation of winders for stretch film cast lines.
Tycoplas (Selangor / Malaysia), a producer of disposable articles, bought an ACF 820 thermoforming machine to manufacture 260,000 PP lunch boxes per day. Another disposables producer, SCGM (Johor / Malaysia; www.scgmbhd.com), purchased four ACF 820 thermoforming machines to produce PP and PET containers.
Malaysian flexible packaging company, Klang Hock (Selangor), ordered an ACP winder, which Amut said is the latest in stretch film technology with a high-speed performance of 750 metres per minute. Singaporean packaging group Seow Khim Polythelene (www.skp.com.sg) chose an AMP 630-GP model to make noodle bowls. The thermoforming machine has an output of 22,000 cups per hour.
Huali Industries (Kowloon / Hong Kong; www.hualihk.com) bought two twin lines from Amut to produce ABS profiles for its new factory in Zhejiang / China. Jingmen Keshun New Materials, also in China, will use Amut machinery for processing waterproofing membranes made from thermoplastic olefins, reinforced with glass fibre or polyester.
Lastly, Cambodian company Chip Mong Group (Phnom Penh; www.chipmonggroup.com) selected Amut to provide four lines to extrude rigid PVC-U pipes for electrical and sewage applications as well as flexible and corrugated HDPE and PVC-U pipes.
