AMUT
Italian extrusion specialist buys compatriot Dolci Bielloni / Market consolidation continues
Consolidation among extrusion machinery manufacturers continues apace with the takeover by Amut (Novara / Italy; www.amut.it) of compatriot film and packaging machinery manufacturer Dolci Bielloni (Biassono; www.dolciextrusion.it) for an undisclosed sum. With the deal, the Amut group is following the expansion course set when it was acquired by an Italian fund in 2011, adding thermoforming and recycling to its core extrusion competence.

The takeover is the second merger for Dolci, an internationally known manufacturer of machinery for blown and cast flexible film whose core competence is machinery for production of stretch film. In 2002 the company was merged with another Italian film conversion machinery producer, Bielloni.

Amut is expected to continue Dolci Bielloni’s packaging machinery lines while at the same time reactivating the former Dolci silage and agricultural film machinery business.
