Additives and colour specialist Ampacet Europe (L-8399 Windhof; www.ampacet.com) has acquired Polish masterbatch producer and distributor Sembodja as part of its expansion program in central and eastern Europe. Based in Warsaw, Poland, Sembodja (renamed Ampacet Polska following the acquisition) is the distributor of Ampacet masterbatches in the Polish market and operates from warehouses in Warsaw, Poznan and Micholow. In addition to the full range of Ampacet masterbatches, polyolefinic and styrenic polymers are also distributed from local stocks.

Ampacet Polska has three manufacturing lines and a laboratory for small-volume custom colour masterbatches and compounds, primarily servicing film, extrusion and moulding applications.

The acquisition of Sembodja expands Ampacet´s reach into the Central and Eastern European thermoplastic masterbatch market and emphasises the company´s commitment to providing customers with better service and more value- added products. The deal forms part of a global strategic plan to provide Ampacet customers with single-source supply for masterbatch requirements.
