Swiss packaging group invests more cash in US firm ePac
Swiss packaging giant Amcor (Zurich; www.amcor.com) said it has pumped up to USD 45 mn (EUR 45.7 mn) into US-based ePac Flexible Packaging (Madison, Wisconsin; www.epacflexibles.com) a year after taking an initial minority stake in the firm’s holding company worth between USD 10 mn and USD 15 mn.

EPac manufactures a range of flexible packaging products, including pouches, sachets and child-resistant containers. Along with its US business, it has facilities in the UK, Canada, France, Poland, Austria, Malaysia, Ghana, and Australia.

Amcor executive Ian Wilson said the latest round of investment in ePac reflected his firm’s “confidence in [its] entrepreneurial team and their proven ability to rapidly scale in the high growth, often higher value short run segment”.

In its latest financial year, Amcor reported turnover of USD 15 bn across 220 locations in 43 countries.
