Eric Roegner to become president of Rigid Plastics division

Packaging manufacturer Amcor (Hawthorn / Australia; www.amcor.com) has announced that Eric Roegner will succeed Mike Schmitt as president of its Rigid Plastics division based in Ann Arbor, Michigan / USA. Following a transition period, the changeover is set to take place in mid-November 2018, at which time Schmitt will take up his new role as executive vice president of Amcor.
Roegner has 12 years of experience holding various executive leadership roles at Arconic, formerly Alcoa – see Plasteurope.com of 04.01.2008. Most recently, he was executive vice president and group president of the company’s Engineered Products and Solutions business.
