Roelof Westerbeek becomes new president of Flexibles Asia Pacific

Roelof Westerbeek, the former director of the Engineering Plastics division of Dutch material sciences company Royal DSM (Heerlen; www.dsm.com), will become the new president Flexibles Asia Pacific at Australian packaging giant Amcor (Hawthorn, Victoria; www.amcor.com). Westerbeek will be based in Singapore, and start his duties on 15 March this year. His former position at DSM has meanwhile been filled by Roeland Polet (see Plasteurope.com of 07.07.2015).
Westerbeek succeeds Ralf Wunderlich, who has decided to leave the company. Amcor’s Flexibles Asia Pacific business last posted sales of about USD 1.2 bn. It includes 40 plants situated in eight different countries.
