CFO Ron Delia to take over as CEO of packaging giant at year's end

At the end of this year, Ken MacKenzie will retire as chief executive at Australian packaging giant Amcor (Abbotsford; www.amcor.com), to be succeeded by current group CFO Ron Delia. MacKenzie has served as the company’s CEO for 10 years and the group said a search for a suitable replacement had been carried out for some time. Delia first joined the company in 2005, and was appointed CFO in February 2011.
The Australian company is considered to be Europe's leading plastics packager in value terms, and has continued to expand by acquisitions over the past few years – see also Plasteurope.com of 11.07.2014.
