Across the range price hikes for flexible packaging
A “dramatic” increase in raw materials prices has led the Flexibles Europe and Americas division of Amcor (Abbotsford / Australia; www.amcor.com) to increase prices for most of its range of flexible packaging, effective 15 September 2010. The company gave no details of the level of the price hikes or which specific products they relate to. Javier Rojo, the division’s vice president of sales and marketing and global pharma, said: “This increase is necessary due to steep raw material cost increases, particularly polyester-containing products. In line with our dedication to minimising cost, we will continue to take aggressive measures to keep costs under control and work to identify ways of serving our customers in the most efficient ways possible.”
