MoldTecs has invested around EUR 25 mn in the construction of the new factory. “With the Taicang site, we want on the one hand to expand our cooperation with global OEMs on the Chinese market,” explained Mathieu Purrey, CEO of Amaneos, during the opening of the plant, “but on the other, we also aim to increase our business with local car manufacturers.” A particular focus is to be on the booming market of electromobility.
MoldTecs, the former filter business of Mann+Hummel, is headquartered in France and has branches in Germany, the US, Mexico, Brazil, India, South Korea, Japan, and China. Global sales amount to more than EUR 500 mn.
In March this year, under the roof of Amaneos, German industry holding company Mutares (Munich; www.mutares.de) merged its three injection moulding activities, Light Mobility Solutions (LMS), MoldTecs, and SFC Group.
