The production plant in Madinat al-Ashir min Ramadan, close to Cairo, employs around 450 people. Using injection blow moulding, injection stretch blow moulding, extrusion blow moulding, and injection moulding, the plant produces plastic bottles, closures, and preforms for the food, beverage, household, and beauty care industries, as well as the pharmaceuticals sector.
Despite the complete takeover, Alpla will remain associated with the original partner. The Depack joint venture also operates facilities in the Madinat al-Ashir min Ramadan industrial park, where it produces food packaging using the thermoforming process.
