Polish subsidiary PRT Radomsko reportedly planning PET recycling facility
Media reports indicate that PRT Radomsko, a subsidiary of Alpla Werke Alwin Lehner (Hard / Austria; www.alpla.com), is planning to build a PET recycling facility in Poland’s special economic area. The facility will reportedly employ 30 workers manufacturing rPET from collected PET bottles. The project’s investment costs were reported to amount to about EUR 9.1m, but Alpla did not want to comment further.

The Austrian manufacturer of bottles, preforms, closures and tubes operates 137 production sites in the world, 17 of which are located in eastern Europe. Its 12,000 employees generated sales of EUR 2.56 bn in 2010.
