ALLANDIS
New pan-European polymer distribution company
A new polymer distributor centred on the holding company Allandis SàrL (Luxembourg; www.allandis.com) plans to start trading in the first quarter of 2010. The company has set itself the goal of becoming a leading European distributor of both standard and performance polymers as well as engineering plastics, catering to a clientele of the world’s top plastics producers.
CEO Peter Fields told Plasteurope.com that after having created Allandis Limited (UK) and Allandis International Limited (Ireland), he is in the process of setting up companies elsewhere in Europe, including in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Scandinavia. Company headquarters will be located in Dublin / Ireland for now.
Fields explained that Allandis aims to grow by a “buy-and-build acquisition strategy”, which will involve the purchase of either shares or assets of existing European polymer distributors who have decided to exit the business. He said he was still in the process of finalising negotiations on the first acquisitions and setting up the necessary trading infrastructure.
