Name change ahead for carved-out DSM Composite Resins
DSM Composite Resins will have a new name from 1 January 2016, when the business carved out of Dutch chemical producer DSM (Sittard / The Netherlands; www.dsm.com) begins trading as Aliancys (Schaffhausen / Switzerland; www.dsmcompositeresins.com).
Together with the Polymer Intermediates (caprolactam and acrylonitrile) business, the resins manufacturer in July was brought into a 35:65 joint venture, majority owned by private equity investor CVC Capital Partners (London / UK; www.cvc.com) – for the latest coverage see Plasteurope.com of 06.08.2015. A new name for the intermediates business will be announced shortly, a DSM spokesperson told Plasteurope.com.
While the company name is changing, DSM said its existing management will be retained, along with the brand names “Atlac”, “Beyone”, “Daron”, “Neoxil”, “Palapreg”, “Palatal” and “Synolite”.
