Stefan Reiner has taken over as the new managing director of Albis Plastic Vertriebsgesellschaft (Salzburg / Austria), a subsidiary of German distributor and compounder Albis Plastic (Hamburg; www.albis.com). He will not only oversee the company’s activities in Austria, but also provide support for the neighbouring markets in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania and Greece.

Reiner previously worked at Nexeo Solutions (Europe: Barcelona / Spain; www.nexeosolutions.com), where he was responsible for the European Automotive business. Commenting on his appointment at Albis, he said, “The market situation is very promising, and offers strong growth opportunities, especially in the technical plastics business.”

The German distributor is in the midst of a management handover, which will see Philipp Krahn become chief executive at some point this year (for most recent coverage, see Plasteurope.com of 21.01.2016).
