PPS distribution agreement with Toray / "Torelina" portfolio for European markets
German plastics distributor and compounder Albis Plastic (Hamburg; www.albis.com) has expanded its range of PPS compounds through a distribution partnership with Toray Industries (Tokyo / Japan; www.toray.com). Albis will distribute Toray’s “Torelina” A504X90 (PPS GF40) and Torelina A310MX04 (PPS GF/MR65) branched PPS compounds in most of western Europe as well as markets in central and eastern Europe. Albis said its customers can order additional Torelina branched PPS polymers from Toray to meet project requirements.

Countries included in the agreement are: Albania, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, CIS states, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Serbia/Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Ukraine.

Global demand for PPS compounds is growing at about 8% per year, thanks to strong demand from the automotive and electronics industries, said Albis, which also distributes its own “Tedur” linear PPS compounds.
