AKRO-PLASTIC
Portfolio extended with PPA and PA 6.10
Akro-Plastic (Niederzissen / Germany; www.akro-plastic.com) has added "Akromid T" polyphthalamide to its range of products for the substitution of diecast metal. Akromid T is claimed to be particularly suitable for high-temperature applications, for example under-the bonnet components in the automotive industry, or for parts subjected to high mechanical loads in machine construction.
In addition, Akro-Plastic recently launched a PA 6.10 under the name "Akromid S", which consists of about 60% renewable raw materials. It is based on sebacic acid obtained from castor oil.
