AKCROSTAB CHEMICALS
Liquid calcium-zinc heat stabilisers introduced
Akcrostab Chemicals (New Brunswick, New Jersey / USA; www.akcros.com) has introduced a range of liquid calcium-zinc heat stabilisers for flexible PVC applications. The company claims that the liquid metal-soap based products provide thermal performance that was previously available only from barium containing products and provide an alternative for compounders and processors wishing to eliminate barium from their formulations.

The “CAZ-2020” series of additives are free of bisphenol A and metallic stearates and are compatible with a wide range of compounding ingredients, including epoxidised soy bean oil.
